Lander in the News[TV]
As Odyssey successfully went into orbit, the BBC 1 featured Beagle 2. For the 6pm main news, science correspondent Fergus Walsh reported live from McLaren Composites showing progress on the build of the lander structure. The piece included an interview with Colin, a clip from the new animation by Dave Rowntree (Nanomation) and an explanation of how the lander will still need to withstand a hefty thump when released from the gas filled bags. Below: At the futuristic McLaren Composites factory.
BBC on line carried the TV news item, still showing on 26 October.
