New model at Farnborough[MODEL]
A new model (pictured right) of the Beagle 2 lander will be unveiled at the Farnborough International Air Show next week (7-13 September). Constructed by Matra Marconi Space (MMS), the model will be displayed on the British National Space Centre stand.
The display will also have publicity material available for visitors comprising a 70 by 50 cm full colour poster sponsored by Martin-Baker Aircraft Company and produced by Quadrant in addition to a four page 'tabloid' style newspaper called Mars Express produced by The Open University (Planetary Sciences Research Institute and Public Relations). An animation sequence compiled by MMS of the lander carrying out in situ experiments on Mars will be showing on the display.
